You Dirty Scrub are an independent brand based in Scotland, UK. I came across them on Instagram one day and was instantly drawn in by their humorous name. I’ve heard about coffee scrubs like this before. I’m sure many of you will have heard of the ones by Frank Body that seem to be very popular. I’ve never tried this type of scrub before and I absolutely love finding great indie brands to support so when I came across You Dirty Scrub I felt it was the perfect time to try it.
Arabica Coffee, Raw Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, FairTrade Brown Sugar, Rock Salt, Cinnamon, Ginger, Eucalyptus Oil, Vitamin E
Have you ever used a product and thought that it was a perfectly good product only to then try something else and realise what a pile of rubbish that other product actually was? That happened when I first used the YDS coffee scrub. I honestly can’t remember the last time my skin felt that smooth or if it ever had for that matter. It made the scrub that I had been using prior to that look a total embarrassment.
A little of this scrub really goes a long way and I can see the 200g bag lasting me a while. One of the things that I love about this scrub is that it isn’t harsh or abrasive. I’ve even found that this is gentle enough to use on my face and boy does my face feel amazing after using this. Softer than a baby’s bottom!
This doesn’t just effectively scrub away dead skin. I also find that my skin feels hydrated after using it which is not surprising seeing as coconut oil is one of it’s main ingredients. According to the website the caffeine in this stimulates blood circulation, helps to remove toxins from the body and burns fatty tissue making this product great against cellulite and stretch marks. It’s early days to comment on whether it’s effective in that sense just yet but that won’t stop me focusing this product on those areas that could use a little help in the hopes that I’ll see results.
To sum up, this is a lovely natural body scrub that’ll give you silky smooth skin without being too harsh. If you do prefer a more abrasive scrub I would recommend their Himalayan Rock Salt body scrub.
PS: Shipping is free if you’re in the UK! I believe they also ship worldwide if anyone overseas is interested.
I’m really excited to see what else You Dirty Scrub has in store for us.
Have you tried anything from them yet?
