Mothers Day Gift Guide

gift guide

With Mother’s Day not too far away now (March 6th if you didn’t know!) I thought I’d make a little gift guide for you guys. Rather than try to guess what I think people would like to receive, I have gone with products to suit my own mothers taste as I felt that would be more helpful. Every Mother’s Day I get gifts for my nan as well as my mum. I’m very close with my nan so I could never leave her out. She deserves a treat too! Here are the items that I have picked. Maybe you’ll see something you think your loved one will enjoy too!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – £9.00
I’ve heard a lot of positive things about this spray and other products within this range and their effectiveness in helping people to drift off to sleep. My mum, like a lot of mums out there is constantly on the go running herself ragged. I like to buy her products that will relax her and hopefully help her to get a better nights sleep.

A salon/spa voucher
One year I bought my mum a voucher from a local beauty salon for a manicure and pedicure. I can’t speak for my mum but I think it was probably one of her favourite gifts that I’ve given her judging by her smile. Who doesn’t love to be pampered right? Treatments like that are things that we’re less likely to spend on ourselves as they’re not really necessary and can get quite pricey. I’d highly recommend this as a gift idea even if you don’t spend a lot and use it as a smaller gift to go along with some other pieces. It makes for a lovely treat.

The White Company Lime and Bay Signature Candle – £20
I’ve only recently discovered The White Company and treated my home to the Seychelles diffuser in January. I was in heaven at their Cardiff store smelling all of their candles. They are absolutely gorgeous in terms of packaging and scent. I would highly recommend a visit to one of their stores if you can! Lime and Bay is the newest to the White Company’s range. I haven’t smelt this myself as it wasn’t out at the time I visited their store but it sounds divine and perfect for the upcoming warmer months!

How to be a Woman by Caitlin Moran – £6.29
I’ve been meaning to read this book for such a long time and I know a lot of women have really enjoyed it. From the small amount I’ve heard of Caitlin Moran I’ve really enjoyed. Did anybody else see her TV series Raised by Wolves? If you didn’t, I would recommend a watch. It’s a good laugh! Apparently this book is written very humorously and has been described by many as a must read for all women. What better way to unwind than with a good book that can make you laugh? I think I may have to pick up two copies, one for mum and one for me.

Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles – £4.89
I’ve included these particular chocolates because my mum loves these to death. If she could live off them, she definitely would. Of course, everyone’s tastes are different so you don’t have to get these exact ones! Whatever your mums favourite chocolates are would make a nice gift. Chocolate is always appreciated.

The Library of Fragrance Fresh Coconut Cologne – £15.00
Fragrances can be very personal and I tend to steer away from gifting people things in that department. However there are certain scents that I think can appeal to the majority of people, coconut being one of them. Everybody loves coconut. The Library of Fragrance have a wide range of cologne’s from scents like rain, chocolate, fresh laundry and even pizza! These colognes are also available from Boots so if you’d like to smell before you buy I’d suggest seeing if you can find them at your local Boots store.

Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Gel – £4.95+
Lush is a great place to go for Mother’s Day gifts as they have exclusives for just the occasion. The Yummy Mummy shower gel is very popular with Lush fans all over. This comes in a range of sizes the smallest starting at £4.95 for 100g. If you’re unsure whether your mum would like this product I’d recommend getting one of the smaller bottles so that she can try it out and see what she thinks.

What products will you be gifting this Mother’s Day?
